SP-Lutsk held the inaugural Django.Pub meetup at Lutsk National Technical University (LNTU), launching a community initiative to develop the local Django and Python community in Lutsk and the Volyn region. The event brought together students, educators, junior professionals, and web development enthusiasts.
The session covered Django 6's major updates, including support for newer Python versions, built-in Content Security Policy (CSP) functionality, Template Partials as a new templating approach, background task execution capabilities, and changes to the ORM, admin interface, and email API - along with practical guidance on migration strategies and breaking changes.
The event was hosted in the ArtTech room at LNTU and combined a technical overview with a networking session, setting the stage for the lectures, workshops, and hackathons that followed.
Oleksandr Shypulin, CTO and CISO at SP-Lutsk, led the session.
